2015 :Elaborating the regional vision for a better future
Beirut, Cairo,32 January 2015;
UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States in Beirut
and the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Egypt, are organizing
the " Arab States Regional Conference on Education Post-2015
"*.The Conference will be held in Sheraton Sharm Hotel, Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from 27
to 29 January 2015, and will bring together Ministers, senior education officials from the
Arab countries, as well as representatives from regional and inter
national organizations
and NGOs working in the various fields of education.
This meeting will provide an opportunity for Arab countries to voice their reflections and
needs in terms of education, contribute to shaping the future of education beyond 2015,
and develop regional recommendations for the international framework for action to be
adopted at the World Education Forum in Incheon; the Republic of Korea, in May 2015.
For this occasion, two press conferences will be held by His Excellency Mahmoud Abo El-Nasr, Minister of Education in the Egyptian government, and Dr. Hamed Al
-Hammami, Director of UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States, with
the aim to brief journalists on the main objectives and outcomes of this event and answer
any related questions. The first press conference will
be organized on the opening day,Tuesday 27 January, at 9:45, and the second to follow the closing session on Thursday 29
January at 17:30. Both conferences will take place in the Sheraton Hotel.
