بعد بدء المبارة هبطت طائرات حربية جزائرية بمطار السودان وبها اشخاص مدربين هدفهم ذبح الجمهور المصري عند فوزه وارهابه عند خسارته ولم تعلم السفارة المصرية عن ذلك الامر شيئا وكأن ليس هناك منتخب ولا جمهور ولا مبارة، بل ان الاتوبيسات الخاصة بالجمهور قد تركت اماكنها وهربت من جراء اعتداءات الجمهور الارهابي الجزائري ولم تعرف السفارة شيئا عن كل ذلك وهو الامر الذي يؤكد تقصيرها وعدم الاهتمام برعاياها بدولة السودان

.تقصير السفارة المصرية جاء نتيجة عدم اخبار الجهات الامنيبة بمصر عما يفعله الجزائريين ويستعدون اليه بالسودان من ارهاب ومحاولة اغتيال الجمهور المصري برموزه، وغلق ابواب السفارة اثناء تلك الازمة في وجه المواطنين المصريين، وعدم تأمين المنتخب المصري والجمهور المصري ورموزه، وهو ما تسبب في ضياع حلم التأهل لكاس العالم
